Audition Requirements
Auditions will be held individually. Those interested are encouraged to secure your audition time slot to avoid long wait times.
Walk-ins are welcomed, but will be assigned to the first available audition slot.
You will need to present two contrasting song selections. Please prepare 16-32 bars of one (1) ballad and (1) uptempo song from the 70’s that best highlight your vocal abilities. Consider songs that you think may be a good fit for our production as we will be basing our show song selections off of our cast’s talents and preferences. You may also be asked to do some vocalizing with the music director. Your sheet music should be in the proper key with cuts clearly marked.
An accompanist will be provided (no recordings or a cappella numbers).
While this is considered a “vocal” production, there will be some choreographed elements in the show. You may be asked about your dance experience.
Headshots and resumes are encouraged, but not required.
Please bring your personal calendar for July – September. You will be asked to complete a conflict form to share your rehearsal availability.
We are committed to the safety of all members of this production. Please bring proof of your COVID-19 Vaccination. We do require that the cast, crew, and production team be fully vaccinated.

CMT IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE CAST OF MUSICALS SHE WROTE: CELEBRATING WOMEN SONGWRITERS

Musical Theatre songwriting has always been a boys’ club. But women have been writing musicals—a lot of them—since the 19th century! This revue will trace the history of women writing music or lyrics from the early days of operetta and musical comedy through the Golden Age, the Post-Golden Age, and today. From early songs you might not know were written by a woman—“Ah Sweet Mystery of Life” and “Hey Big Spender”—to the feminist anthems in A…My Name is Alice and I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking it on the Road up to the last decade’s explosion of women writing musicals from the serious to the ridiculous.

Directed by Joe Stollenwerk

Music Direction by Joel Kurzynski

Produced by Megan Williams and Eric Bardes
