Cincinnati Music Theatre is proud to announce our 2024-2025 Season

Our Mainstage Season features two productions making their Cincinnati Music Theatre debuts. We open the Mainstage Season with the magical, family-favorite hit Matilda the Musical. This whimsical and wonder-filled production leaps off the page to the stage and is sure to entertain our audience members, both young and young at heart! Our second Mainstage Production is the classic, dance-infused musical comedy Sweet Charity. This brassy, bold musical follows Charity Hope Valentine in her search for love, friendship, and making it big!

Our Studio Series returns with three productions and features something for everyone! Opening the Studio Series Season is Overthrone: An Original Rock Revue featuring hit rock and pop songs that fuse together a story of power, love, and finding the fire within oneself. Last year’s hit production Music at the Movies returns in a brand-new, sequel production Music at the Movies 2: From Broadway to Hollywood…and Back Again! We close out the season with Nunsense: A Heavenly Musical Comedy. Join the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they aim to raise the praise in this hysterical musical comedy!

From Classics and Comedies to Musical Revues, our 2024-2025 Season is full of magic, wonder, and music.

Information about season ticket packages, individual tickets, auditions, and more will be released in the coming weeks.

THE STORY
With a score by Leonard Bernstein, Wonderful Town tells the story of two
sisters, Ruth and Eileen, who move from a rural town in Ohio to experience the
bright lights, the big city, and the crazy characters of Greenwich Village, New York City. Ruth is an aspiring writer and Eileen is a dancer who wants to pursue a life on stage. One sister can’t find a man no matter what she does, the other can’t keep them away. Together, these two sisters take on the world.
WONDERFUL TOWN runs in the Jarson Kaplan Theater at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, November 4, 5, 6, and November 9, 10, 11, and 12th!
